Laura Lima's Debut Solo American Museum Exhibition Opens in June 2016

Event Date:
3 June 2016
Miami, FL

ICA Miami presents an exhibition of work by Brazilian artist Laura Lima, on view June 3 through September 18, 2016.

A conceptual artist who inverts the mediums of performance, sculpture and painting, Lima uses the human body and costume to explore perception, social relationships, and everyday human behaviors. She subjects the body to juxtapositions with objects and strange rituals that instigate new modes of interaction between the work and viewer. Previous solo exhibitions have been presented at venues internationally, including the Reina Sofia Museum, Madrid; Migros Museum, Zurich; Bonniers Konsthall, Stockholm; and Performa 15, New York.
