Lecture - Salt and Copper: Stratified Questions and Replies from an Interview with Jannis Kounellis

Event Date:
2 May 2020
Cold Spring, New York

Instagram Live Event: Saturday, May 2, 3:00 – 5: 00 p.m. EST

University of Louisiana at Lafayette explores Jannis Kounellis’ artistic production through a transnational lens. Based on an interview with the artist conducted in New York City in 2013, the lecture focuses on four insights generated from the discussion, ranging from Kounellis’ self-described “discovery” of an ongoing global “logic” for his work, to his global and conceptual enactment of artwork as perpetually “unfinished.”

Following the lecture, audiences can participate in a Q&A with Bennett on Instagram Live starting at 4:00 p.m. EST.

This event is part of Magazzino's new series of digital programs, Magazzino da Casa.
