Laurie Kamens
Laurie brings her experience in journalism and the nonprofit sector to developing and implementing communications strategies for leading arts and culture institutions.
Prior to joining R+A in 2022, Laurie worked as the Senior Communications Manager at Gary Zarr & Associates, developing and leading communications campaigns for the Perelman Performing Arts Center at the World Trade Center, The National Museum of Mathematics (MoMath), and The Battery Conservancy, among others. Other previous work includes leading communications and marketing for USCJ’s youth arm, as well as implementing the organization’s overall media relations strategy. Laurie started her career in journalism as a reporter for the New York Post, and subsequently wrote for several publications including The New York Times and Interview Magazine. Laurie graduated magna cum laude from Muhlenberg College with a bachelor of arts degree in communications and theater.
